Painting for kids room

Wednesday, July 18, 2018

Hello !!

Hope everyone is doing great. I wanted to share a painting I did for kid's nursery. I used acrylic paints on canvas of size 30x40 cm.

I started with background. First, I used a sponge to dab the paint.

Next, I used a toothbrush to do splatter technique. It gives tiny details and is so much fun.

Once the background was done, I started with some branches and slowly added details one after the other.

All done!!

Friday, June 8, 2018

Hey guys 😃!!

Happy June ! Cannot believe almost half of the year has passed already. Anyway, I was so in love with Kerala Mural that I decided to do one more. This time I wanted to paint Radha and Krishna. Before we start, I have an announcement. To get regular updates on my work and to see some process videos, follow me on instagram and like the facebook page.

I used acrylic paints on a 30 x 40 cm canvas. I did the sketch first and then started adding colour.

And done 😃 !

Krishna painting inspired by 'Kerala Mural Art'

Tuesday, May 22, 2018

Hello Folks!!

I hope all my readers are doing great 😃. I know it has been some time since you heard from me. I was under the spell of the beauty of Kerala Mural Art. I was mesmerized by the vibrant colours and the beautiful expressions of the subjects 😍. I was very excited to make something inspired by this art form. I worked for almost a month to finish this project. I was so immersed into this painting that I worked even when I was sick (am all better now 😊 😎). It was like some sweet medicine for me 😊. So without any delay, am very excited to share with you my latest  Krishna painting inspired by Kerala Mural Art.

I painted this on a 40x50 cm canvas. I used acrylic paints and some metallic acrylics for doing the jewelry. I started off with a pencil sketch. Below are some step by step photos for you to see the whole process.

There is always a phase in painting when your work looks like ugly duckling. But you need to be patient and keep working to see the transformation into a beautiful work.

And tadaa !! 😀

I hope you enjoyed it. Until next time 🙋, Happy painting 😃.

And done ! 😃

Sunset painting

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

Hello readers 😃!

Recently I went shopping and found a very pretty graphic greeting card. I was so mesmerized by that I could not think of anything else for few days. I could only see that card everywhere I saw #StoryOfMyLife. So I started to put it on a canvas. I drew the sketch first.

I used acrylic paints to colour it. First started with clouds which reflect the colours of sun rays.

Now I painted the lotus flowers. I really liked the colours I mixed for them.

Next, I painted the leaves and grass. And did some purple lotus flowers.

Now, I started with the sun rays. It took a lot of time because it had lot of details.

To take some break from sun rays I switched to water in the lake.

And done. It took pretty long to paint. I spent 3 days just for sun rays. But am very satisfied with the final look.

To give the final touch, I drew outlines of the flowers, leaves, birds using a sketch pen.

 And done! 😄

Buddha painting

Wednesday, April 5, 2017

Hello!! 😃

I am very excited to share the outcome of a painting idea I had recently 😊. I was very much interested in drawing a Buddha for a long time. I have used a long canvas for this project and acrylics.I have used some paper chips  cut into triangles leftover from an old project.

I drew the image first.

I rearranged the paper triangles to just see how it looks.

I drew the outline on the canvas.

Just checking the paper triangles.

I thought of using opposite colored triangles on the side of the faces. But I decided to mix them up and used multicolored ones.

For the 'Om' I have used metallic acrylics. The outer circle is painted golden. Then I used dot painting techniques to fill the outer circle.

And here it is. The final piece 😊
